Recognised by His Holiness the Dalai Lama as the reincarnation of his own principal teacher, His Eminence carries forward a lineage of profound scholarship, compassion, and wisdom.

This three-day public event offers something for everyone. Whether you’re curious about improving your own life circumstances or seeking deeper insight into Buddhist philosophy, the Friday evening public talk is designed for all audiences and speaks directly to the human experience.

Buddhist wisdom isn’t about religion—it’s about life, change, and finding courage in uncertainty. The weekend sessions delve more deeply into traditional teachings and spiritual blessings, making the event accessible and enriching whether you come for one day or all three.

Christchurch will officially welcome His Eminence on Thursday 28th August @ 2:40pm at Christchurch Regional Domestic Airport. We warmly invite you to join us for a heartfelt welcome — the traditional greeting is with a kata (white scarf).
