Contemplation in Everyday Life

A Three Week Way of Shambhala Course

April 15th — April 29th

Sundays at 10:00am - 12:00pm and 2:00pm - 4:00pm (29th morning only)

With Shastri Marian Bond (via live video link)

Suggested donation $75.00 (or $45.00 unwaged)

This three week course offers guidance in cultivating a gentle and friendly relationship with our every day lives through talks, contemplations, meditation practice, and discussion.

Contentment is hard to find.  We usually think contentment is found in things, achievements or experiences.  With meditation practice, we learn to relax and appreciate ourselves and our simple human experiences.  In this Way of Shambhala course we begin to understand why our experience is often habitual and full of discontent and suffering.  And most importantly, we learn how difficult emotions and the challenges of life can be met with gentleness, steadiness and humour.

Shastri (“learned teacher”) Marian Bond is a long time  student of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. She lives in New Zealand with her husband Colin and has been a meditation instructor and teacher since 1987. She was appointed Shastri for the Shambhala Oceanic Region in 2010.
