Tara Choying Lhamo is a remarkable western dharma practitioner from Austria, who has been living in retreat for over twenty years. Twelve of those years she has spent high in the mountains of Nepal in Lapchi, in one of Milarepa’s caves.
Tara agreed to speak publicly for the first time last year (2016) in London and with the assistance of Monique Rhodes, she is now travelling through NZ to share her remarkable story.
During that talk in London, those that went to listen, were deeply moved by her story and also, by being in her presence. Tara will now share her knowledge of retreat and the dharma during a special talk being held at the Christchurch Buddhist Centre.
Tara's root lama is Sonam Jorphel Rinpoche and she is also a student of H.H Chetsang Rinpoche and Garchen Rinpoche.
The evening promises to be a remarkable for people of all religious persuasions (and none) to connect to and draw inspiration from a dedicated contemplative.
